Andy Leach

Andy enjoys delivering group therapy as well as individual therapy.  He delivers Psycho-education groups as well as Yalom style process groups.  In his capacity as Director of Addiction Services for Visions by Promises, he has created & set up the Intensive Outpatient Program.  Before joining Visions by Promises, he was Clinical Lead for the Cabin Group in Asia.

Dr. Sandor Heng

Dr Sandor Heng is a skilled and experienced dual diagnosis clinician. He has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked in both private and public health sectors in Australia and Singapore. Though he describes himself as a behaviourist by heart and was schooled in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, he generally adopts an eclectic approach in treating addictions and mental health. By focusing on a strengths-based approach, he blends evidence-based practice with practice-based evidence to achieve clinical outcomes. He has a special interest in co-occurring disorders (addictive disorders and mental health disorders), and his philosophy of therapy is to be the best version of oneself, which he practices in his own life.

Prior to joining Promises, Dr Heng was the sole psychologist at the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS) in the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) for 7 years and was the team lead for the NAMS Inpatient Program. Dr Heng currently sits on the Board of the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA) and is the Chair of the Rehab & Reintegration Subcommittee. He is also an Associate Faculty in the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where he teaches the Addiction Module in the Masters of Counselling Program.

Tom Maniatis

Tom has over 20 years of professional experience in addiction treatment provision, predominantly working in government-contracted treatment services in the UK.

This included delivering group and 1-1 therapy in various prisons, and regional community outpatient drug and alcohol treatment centers.

His wealth of knowledge has led him to various responsibilities, including quality checking/inspecting treatment centers, educating medical personnel on treatment methods, and managing regional treatment services involving large multidisciplinary teams.

His clientele most often includes people with very complex needs, and his extensive and diverse experience as a therapist means that he is able to think outside the box, handling highly complex and sensitive situations with confidence.

Tom never gives up on clients and utilises a trauma-informed, neurodiversity friendly, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and compassionate approach.
